    Default Recording Needs License??

    Hi

I'm new to this so apologies if I have missed something...

I bought WM12.1 bundle and paid money for a 7 day license to access 5 streams which only played in Windows Media Player. In each case WM12.1 saved the captured file as a .wmv file.

I could play these files only with Windows Media Player and any attempt to convert these using WM Converter to any other type either creates from the 600MB file a tiny file containing nothing or gives an ERROR.

I just assumed all was ok but I could not convert them... no big deal.

10 days later I tried to play one of the files using Windows Media Player... it failed because the license had expired!!!

I thought the capture should have removed the license??

let me know if there is a solution to fix this or whether I should bin WM12

    thanks
