Media Catcher does not show any progress

I have a steam that I want to record that is a URL. If I start recording in Media Catcher I dont see any status that its being recorded. If I create a schedule and use that URL, when the time starts I see Windows Media Player start up and play the stream but I dont see any status in Media Catcher. I dont see any files being written to the temp or output directory.
How do I troubleshoot this issue?
