Post 'Convert Tool' converting video Output file to NOTHING

when i use my vista ACERlaptop to convert FLV videos from 'Video History Tool' it produces nothing.

what it looks like: (dont know how to add a picture on this.... )
when i click convert (to any type, ie mp3,MPG4, etc) the converter says 'Finished Converting!' in a few seconds and doesn't make anything
however some videos does convert but majority doesnt

also then i tested if it was just this laptop.i took the same flv video to my XPcomputer and the converter works just perfectly. hence its not the programs fault but i think vista or its my laptop. how can i fix this?

BTW ive seen a few of the same problem with other people, but there seems never to be an answer
ive tested turning of UAC but was unhelpful and was said in a different post that its only used as last resort because it can harm other programs + not everyone uses firefox
ive also tested it on Replay Converter, but no affect there too.
the video file isnt corrupt or anything proven it converts normally on my other computer.... but on this vista laptop no converter is converting my videos properly

why isnt it converting argh... fustrated
it works like snitch on my windows professional desktop

    Hi,
Please try uninstalling Freecorder, reboot and reinstall Freecorder. Here is a link to properly uninstall: http://www.applian.com/freecorder4/s....php#uninstall Also, please make sure that you do not have any on the programs listed below that conflict with Freecorder:
    Ad-Muncher
    LiveMesh
    CounterSpy
    SpySweeper
    ZoneAlarm
    CA Anti-Spyware Utility
    Comodo
    Vista Transformation Pack
    Net Nanny
    Threatfire
    Trusteer Rappoirt
    PCTools
    Avast

If you have any of these or a similar app running on your computer, try shutting them down while Freecorder is running. If it is not one of the known apps this can be difficult to pinpoint.
