    I don't know how looking at this toolbar you could tell what version you have.

    The REALLY big question is this -- if there is no difference between 4 and 5 why call them by different names?

    I've tried to install 5 times and I do not see these buttons

    Like I've said elsewhere I don't see what the distinctions are between 4 and 5 other than cosmetic buttons.

    Good evening JsHollis

    The differences are in the back end. You would need to be a programmer to understand, so I'll spare you the techy talk. Can you please tell me where you're based physically? If you're in the US, then you should be using 5 - but if you're OUT of the USA - then you should be using 4.

    Thank you,
    Best Regards,

    I am in the USA. I know I don't have 5 as it won't install. I don't see anywhere in the current program to know what version it is (although I know it's 4). This dialog box next to the applian logo seems to be for a company called Conduit.

    @jshollis
    Freecorder 4 is powered by Conduit, Freecorder 5 is powered by Zugo and Ask&Recorder Toolbar is powered by Ask. Conduit, Zugo and Ask are different companies, so they support different browsers and their versions, have different updates schedules.
