Default Problem: Fast Forward recordings in Applian FLV Player doesn't work

I D/L various radio programs. The playback is just great but is there a way to fast forward them so I dont have to listen to the commericals?

Just click and drag that forward a little bit.
Having said that, if you're asking about software to cut out the commercials once the recording is complete, you can use something like freeware Audacity, MP3DirectCut or commercial Goldwave

...and that will allow you to edit the recordings. I listen to talk mostly, so you can really graphically see the difference between the show and the commercials.
Now, if you're asking about cutting the commercials out automatically, on-the-fly, as the show is recording, that's a whole other story! Replay can't do that. But what it can do is split the file at times that you pick. So if you have a show that is really consistent about commercial breaks, then you can just cut the show at the times when the commercials are over (and the show is starting back up) That way the commercials are always at the end of the individual split files. When you get to a commercial, just jump ahead to the next file, and voila! Just double click on the show to bring up its properties and click the "splitting" tab. I've never used it, but I think I might experiment with it now.
Thanks for your reply. I'm familiar with the fast forward of Windows Media Player but I dont see the same type of FF button on the Applian FLV Player I use to listen to the radio show recordings Ive made.

    Any suggestions?

Sometimes a recorded live streams/webcams video and audio may also be out of sync because the server is sending incorrect timestamps
FAQ on the Applian main site about using Fix FLV with live streams:

    1. Click Tools -> Fix FLV and select the file to be fixed.
Or, if the file is still in Replay Media Catcher's main list, right-click on it and select Fix FLV.
    2. Expand the File Contents section

    3. Set timestamp to 15 and click "Fix Time".

If the resulting file is still fast or slow then the time stamp can be adjusted further. But, 15 usually does the trick. Be sure to click the Fix Time button, or your changes will not be applied.
Try to fix your FLV files and let us know if you have problems fast forwarding them after that.
