I have exactly the same problem except FCAudio.exe doesn't show on my task list.

Radio cannot find Windows Media player either.

Default Could not initialize any audio drivers (FCAudio.exe)

Just installed your add-on for firefox on win7 64bit. It won't record. It says to make sure "FCAudio.exe" is not running by looking in windows task manager. I looked and it isn't. How do I fix this?

Arrow Freecorder error message: cannot initialize audio drivers

We have used Freecorder without problem for several months now. Just today, there is a new problem. When we click on the <Record Audio Tool> on the Freecorder Toolbar, up pops a window with the error message:
    _______________________________
    Error...
X Could not initialize any audio drivers.

Please make sure "FCAudio.exe" is not running by looking in the Windows task manager.

    |OK|
    _______________________________

And the recorder does not open. Again, this is a new problem, and it appears when we try to record from the toolbars in either Firefox or Internet Explorer. Could this be related to the sound card driver, which has been a problem recently?

In fact, if we watch the Processes tab in the task manager, this driver is only loaded when we click on the tool icon, and disappears after we click OK in the error window.

We have reinstalled the Freecorder 4 s/w, problem remains. What might be causing this error message, please?
