Default Can Internet hosting companies detect you downloading streaming content

    Hello All,
Can Internet hosting companies tell from the port number etc. if you are downloading a video stream and not just watching a streaming video in your browser as many of their terms and conditions say that watching streaming is ok but downloading is not allowed.
    Thanks.

Some content providers detect you downloading and ban your account. In most cases they do it when you download multiple video simultaneously and/or download too many videos.

If you don't want to be detected, you can capture HTTP and RTMP audio/video streams with Replay Media Catcher.
For HTTP streams go to Tools -> Settings -> HTTP Download Tweaks and add a secure site. For RTMP go to URLs Tools -> Settings -> RTMP Download Tweaks and tick the checkbox to always record RTMP streams instead of downloading.

Alternatively you can just record from screen using Replay Video Capture.
