Recordings are broken into many MP3 files

I installed the Freecorder 4 toolbar and when I attempt to record streaming audio over the internet, it does record, however, the recordings are very small, varying from say 20 seconds to maybe 1.5 minute. For example, when I attempt to record a 30 minute presentation, when I go to play the recordings, there will be 25 to 30 small files, rather then just one 30 minute file. HELP. What is wrong? Do I need to change a setting? Can anyone help me? My system is Win7, 64bit, ultimate edition. I really need the help. Thanks.
