Fast Video Download - no icon in Firefox

I installed the Fast Video Download V1.6.1 into Firefox 3 PC. (Tools, Addons assures me it's there), but I can't see any new, relevant icon on the menu bar, so I can't use the downloader if I'm using Youtube, for example. Am I missing something here, or is there a problem with Firefox 3?

I don't have an Icon in Firefox, either. I must be missing the same thing.

The icon is in the bottom right corner of your screen, right above the AM/PM of the time. Strange place for it, and i founds it by accident, but it works like a charm. Download the FLV player and you're good to go from YouTube.

I still can't see it....is no where on my lap am I missing something too here?

1) Click on "View" (right next to "File" and "Edit" on the top left)
2) than make sure that "Status Bar" is checked
You should than see on the bottom right hand of the Firefox window

Disable the plugin and enable it again and then upgrade your browser version to the latest where FVD still works.
