Unhappy Skype Hangs when I activate my own webcam

    Hello,
I just tried Applian Replay Telecorder for Skype, but when I activate my own camera, skype hangs up (unexpectedly stops).
This happens since I installed Replay Telecorder, and only happens if I activate my camera; if I receive a camera stream, or only audio stream, SKype works correctly.

Do you know what maybe happening??

    Thanks in advance.-

    Best Regards,
    Marcelo

This is not an issue we have had reported before. Are you getting an error message? Are you starting Skype first and then going to Telecorder and selecting Record?

Unhappy Re: Skype Hangs when I activate my own webcam

    Hello,
I do run first skype and then run Skype Telecorder. When I press the videoconference button skype hangs with the following error:

    Skype has stopped working
    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: Skype.exe

THis happens only when I activate my own camera.... even selecting "remote camera" in Telecorder or "audio only".
I am running Windows Vista 64bits and never had a problem before with skype and/or my camera. the camera runs pedfectly on WIndows Live messenger, so I assume it is not the camera.

I don't know what's happening. I already tried uninstalling and re-installing skype, but doesn't works. I will try to uninstall telecorder and see what happens

    Thanks

I FOund out that the problem was caused by Replay VideoCapture.
It installed a "virtual" webcam called USCameraCapture, which caused Skye to crash when I wanted to activate my own webcam.
I searched all over during the morning and noticed that had to be something related to the Replay Capture Suite, since until I installed it, everything was working OK, and now the camera was not working with skype (but it did with Windows Live Messenger).

I will check and try the Telecorder and let you know if everything goes well. But you have to take care with the VideoCapture program.
