I am running AV 8.87 and using it to record my cassettes into mp3 files to place on a CD. I am using the option that breaks the audio into separate mp3 files when it 'hears' a 2 sec or more blank audio stream.
This function works nicely, however if the tape completes while I am not around, AV begins creating little empty files over and over again. And even when I right mouse and click "Stop recording" the recording continues. I can only stop the recording by going into Windows XP task manager and killing the process. If I click anywhere on AV after telling it to stop it just beeps.
AV should have an additional setting that after X amount of time, it stops recording altogether. That way recording would stop after say 30 seconds of blank audio and the user would not have all these empty files and have AV lock up.
Thanks for an otherwise nice product - the past I used your earlier product Freecorder, but had to import the files into Audacity to break them into separate mp3 files. This is much more convenient!
