Default saving to wrong format: CAP File

After several successful recordings saved in the .asf format, Replay A/V has suddenly begun saving recordings to the .cap format. I unsuccessfully attempted to convert these to .asf or .mp3. I have since upgraded to version 8.61, but do not know if this will matter or not. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

You should be able to rescue the file by manually re-naming the .cap extension to .mp3 (or whatever it was supposed to be) and the file should play normally. This happens if the file did not stop correctly, your computer had a glitch, the Internet had a glitch.
