Default converter tool runs for 2 seconds says complete, but no file

I have the exact same issue as funkmayer, similar codecs etc. The FLV player plays the file fine, but the converter tool just runs for about 2 seconds and says done. I got the file from www.ard.de (a german TV station) at their MediaTheke link....thanks.

I am also having this problem, with the converter saying it is finished after about 2-3 seconds (trying to convert to ipod .mp4). The original .flv file plays fine, but has an 'unknown' duration time. I have tried several times to convert to different formats but the result is the same.

Instead of converting you can try to repair FLV file by extracting video and audio with FLV Extract and remuxing them with mp4box. Please let us know if you have problems converting repaired files.
