Default Sophos reports MPDL.dll as Malware

    Hi,
since a Sophos update last night, my Sophos Antivirus reports the Replay A/V file MPDL.dll as infected with Malware. Should I be concerned?
    Greetings
    Robert

Of course you can temporary disable checking of the Replay folder in Sophos. But that shouldn't be the permanent solution.

    Phew...thanks for that advice.

We have a legal requirement to keep copies of our live shows and we use Replay to do this.

I am told by colleagues that other Anti-virus programs are also picking this file up as well....worrying!

This is what is known as a false positive. I have the program installed on several machines with different ant virus software and I'm not receiving this at all. You might contact your anti virus software and see if they can add it or allow it in your system.
