Default Background recording records wrong screen area

I'm trying to record video from a non-browser app. I've been recording just fine in non-background mode, and just getting around to recording in background. The recording appears to work, but it is recording the wrong screen area. The window I want to record has the top and left side cut off, and black areas below and to the right about 1/2 the size of the window. I have a screen shot if you tell me how to send it.

At the start of the recording, I got the message about no window and clicked on the caption bar to mark the window. Experience says that RVC will not automatically find the window, so in foreground mode I have to manually select the window before starting recording.

In background, is there another way to mark the window that will get the boundaries right?

    Thanks

    I have
    RVC 8.3.2
    Windows 10 x64 build 1511.
    ASUS GTX 960 video card in 1920 x 1080.

Please right mouse click your computer desktop. Select display settings. Move the slider all the way to the left. Now, give it a try.
