Default Filenames after conversion to mp3...

Howdy. I've setup Replay AV to record windows media streams then automatically convert to mp3. The final filenames have '.asf' before the '.mp3' extension. eg - nameoffile.asf.mp3

My podcast script automatically adds new mp3 files but won't recognize the files with .asf in the name... this is quite annoying, as I have to rename each file... Is there a way to tell Replay AV to drop the .asf from the mp3 filename? Cheers.

I'm afraid not. This is how it is knowing what it converted from. Thanks.

Lightbulb Batch File to remove the .asf

I record several radio programs daily and also found it a problem to try and play a CD loaded with .mp3 files that had the .asf extension left in the filename. So I changed a few filenames manually, removing just the '.asf' and found that everything worked perfect. So I then wrote a batch file to do this conversion automatically every morning. You can either run the batch file any time you need to or use the windows task scheduler to run it automatically. You can even run it while still recording and it will not mess anything up. Here is a portion of the batch file that you can edit and use to your own needs.

    Cheers!
