    Default No window is selected

    Hi.

I'm trying to record a Citrix webinar using RVC7.

I connect to the webinar using GoToWebinar and it starts playing on my screen.

When I start RVC and click get video, it can't find the screen with the webinar on it. I get the error message "No window selected. Click the window you want to record (outside video area)".

I've tried manually moving the markers onto the window i'm trying to record & when I hit record I get the same "No window selected" message.

RCV can find & record pages that are open in Firefox but not the new window that the webinar is opened in.

Dell desktop running Windows 7. Never had any problems when using RCV6.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks

Please click outside of the window you are wanting to record. Then it should work for you.

    Hi Cheryl.

I'm trying to record a webinar now & it doesn't work. Same error message.

Closed version7 & tried using old version 6. It worked first go. Any other ideas????

    Some more info.

Just tried recording another webinar, same problem.

I disabled background mode, restarted RCV7 and it found the window by itself & is recording ok.

Seems like background mode is causing the issue

Hi Tinman. I'm also not seeing any similar issues around. You might want to create a support ticket on this. Perhaps they might need to duplicate this issue first.

I've had this problem. The auto detect doesn't seem to work for me. I size the window manually and then after I am done, I have to click on the window (program) that I want to record. If I just size the window and then click on record, I get the error you mention above. At first I couldn't figure it out. And then by chance I clicked on the player I wanted to record and then it worked so now I always do it that way.
