Until last week it was possible to use the URL finder with the BBC iPlayer. Since Friday nothing comes up on the URL finder screen. Has the BBC blocked the URL finder? The iplayer screen does seem to have changed slightly.

They have changed the way they are streaming. I have responded to this in another link on what to try for this. Thanks.

Here are draft instructions to record streams of BBC radio (internationally?)

Notes for accessing BBC Radio streams
Choose a channel you want to record from eg Radio4extra
goto bbc iplayer, radio Schedule, select the previous day from the calendar and pick any programme on that channel and right click on it.
copy the shortcut to a text editor eg notepad
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b007jpl9 -thats my example!!
select and copy the last snippit of thecode you copied (b007jpl9).
in the web browser goto http://www.iplayerconverter.co.uk/convert.aspx
past your clip into Find PID:
copy the link under URL to global raw
Windows Media (WMV) file:
in this case
mms://wm.bbc.co.uk/wms/radio4xcoyopa/radio_4_extra_-_wednesday_0100.wma
This pasted into a new show (Dummy BBC R4ERxtra) will enable you to stream the programme selected.
duplicate it, rename it, change the day and /or time in the steam address(all lower case!) and you can record what you want from that channel!!
repeat for other channels!!
