video for Android

I am a complete newbie to audio/ video capture and editing and apologize in advance because this question has no doubt been answered before although I cannot find the simple answer. I purchased Applian Replay Capture Suite with the hope that I could capture videos from my computer, music videos, YouTube, etc. and movies and TV shows that I have DVDs of and convert them to some format to play on my Google Nexus 10 tablet (Jelly Bean) but I cannot figure out how to do so. I do not understand all of the capture and convert options, which Applian program to use, what to convert to for viewing on my tablet etc. Any help appreciated. I have 2 computers I can use if it makes a difference (Dell OptiPlex 745 E6300; 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 667 MHz RAM; 160 GB HD; XP Professional; and Lenovo E31 i5 3550 3.3GHz, 24GB 1600MHz RAM, 500GB HD, Win 7.)
