View Full Version : Youtube Playlist Downloader has ceased working in RMC 4.4.4

The Youtube Playlist Downloader has been a favorite feature of mine, but sometime within the past couple of weeks it has stopped working. Here are the symptoms:
I enter a playlist and click Extract
RMC correctly lists the videos
I choose the videos that I want from the playlist and click Download
RMC prompts me to queue the downlods and I click Yes
RMC returns the following error for every video: Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined.
As I mentioned earlier, this just ceased working within the past week or so.

By way of troubleshooting, I have uninstalled and reinstalled RMC 4.4.4, to no avail.

I have also tried installing RMC on another computer in another location on a completely separate network, also to no avail.

What is the playlist ID you're trying to download please?

This program is being updated and will be released when it is ready. YouTube changed how they are streaming.

Hi Sfan - sorry for the delayed response.

Wow, 225 entries - was RMC able to queue up the playlist, or did you get this error right away?

Would you mind expanding on your issue please? What is the playlist # you're trying to download

I am having the same problem...the playlist I am trying to d/l is
PL66115ACE8D4F3C17
I am getting exactly what was said above. I chose the videos, but when it starts to d/l get the same error
I am on version 4.4.5.0

The playlist downloader is broken.

Hey guys, we're working on a new and updated PL downloaded for RMC 5 - we're testing it now and so far it's working great - don't have an exact ETA for this yet - but should be soon :)

FWIW - I upgraded from 4.4.4 to 4.4.5 when I saw that it was released, but I still get the same error with any YouTube playlist.

That's good news about this being fixed in RMC 5, but what will the upgrade path be for current users of RMC 4 that can't use the application?

It still DOES work on many playlists, but not all. Youtube has been changing the way they stream their videos and playlists, this is out of our control obviously, It will be fixed in the next major update of RMC/Jaksta (5). I do NOT have an ETA for this yet, but we're looking at the next month or two (and don't quote me on this, things CAN change)

I too have problems downloading playlists on YouTube.

but most playlists don't work, give errors.
