Downloaded videos crash on iPad

After transferring downloaded videos to my iPad I find that the video crashes after a few minutes.

The video either restarts at the beginning or the screen just goes black.

I have tried watching the downloaded videos on three different apps - still the same, so it's not the apps at fault.


When I watch the same videos on my laptop I find that at the places that the crash occurs on my iPad the video suddenly loops very quickly for a second or two but continues to play without a full crash.

Hi Mr Angry,

Can you please provide me with the URL of the audio or video you're trying to record, so I can trouble shoot the issue?

Also, what format EXACTLY are you converting to before transferring to your ipad?

Any videos from bbc.co.uk/iplayer.

Not converting. I use the Azul app so it plays lots of video formats.

Was watching another video today on my iPad. It seems to happen every 10-15 minutes (approx). Always happens in the same places on the particular video that I attempt to watch, so it's not a random event.

I've also tried watching the same videos using the AcePlayer app. Same thing happens. Same places.
