jerky recording

Have recorded a 2+ hour espn3 livestream using RMC. The audio is correct but the video playback is jerky and seems to be skipping frames even though the livestream was flawless when watching. OS is Windows 7 64 bit, wireless internet. I have not converted the video.

What went wrong?
If I convert to an MP3, is there a setting I can use that will end the jerky vid?
