I wish to convert an mpg file (mpeg-2, captured from a PAL TV broadcast) to mov format but Replay Converter 4.20 is unable to recognize the file, giving the message ."File not found or file is corrupt. Need to uninstall and re-install application".

Re-installing RC doesn't help. This mpg file plays OK in various video playback apps and I can convert it successfully to mov using SUPER or ********* Video Converter Ultimate . (FWIW, file details are: 70 min., size 1,517,788 KB. video bitrate 3125 kbps, Frame rate 25 fps, video size 384 x 288, audio 2-ch stereo 48kHz, 192 bps)
Any pointers? Thanks.

Converting video files sometimes depend on codec which should be compatible to your software or where you want to play it. http://imagicon.info/cat/14-16/vbsmile.png

You can try and right mouse click the file and select Troubleshoot. Another option is to select the format you want and select the edit icon. Select to use the original codecs. If you continue to have an issue please do contact tech support.
