View Full Version : Recording Live Streams always ends in a corrupt file

When i am recording live-streams I always end up with a corrupt (FLV) file. It starts already with that the timer (while recording) is way behind.

For example it reads during recording 57 minutes while it should be 1h 20min.

The resulting file can be played only correct with Applian FLV player. All other players will play it at almost double speed. Furthermore uploading it to YouTube, Vimeo or Viddler results in conversion error or at best in a file that playes at double speed.

Fixing the FLV in RMC (Fix Duration) cuts off everything above 57 minutes.
Playing around with Fix Time for example 15,16,17,18,19 ---- 30; results in a file of the correct time (1h 20min) BUT
the audio is out of sync and the file is playing to slow.

Not any conversion program or video splitter accept these files, nor any Video-provider (YouTube, Viddler, Vimeo, DailyMotion etc)

The only (ugly) way to get the problem solved is playing the file in the Applian FLV player and Capturing in RVC.
When I open these files in a conversion program it give me the following details: Filetime : 0.57 , Format H264 and FPS 67

Any Help would be appreciated,

Diederik
