What is a .qss file why won't it play

I have been trying to capture streaming video (live) that plays in Media player 11, but what is saved is a .qss file and nothing seems to play it. Converter won't convert it.

I think you're referring to quantum streaming segments.

So now I know they are quantum steaming segments, but does any one know how to play them once they are captured?
