View Full Version : I can not install Replay Media Catcher 4.30.

I uninstalled the version 4.29 that was working perfectly for installing the new version 4.30, but I can not complete the installation, see:

I've done all the procedures of the FAQ, but could not fix!
How fix it ?????:mad:

You can't and won't get it to work: there is a bug in the software! In sheer frustration I un-installed the whole lot, and then re-installed an earlier version of Media Catcher, which, as you indicated, works absolutely fine. I then individually downloaded all the various modules which make up the suite and I intend to re-install them one by one, and not use the all-in one installer which Applian provides. Until Applian sorts this bug out, Media Catcher 4.30 is useless!

Bizarrely, Applian does not reply with anything other than the stock FAQ response posted, which does not resolve the issue.

i am official demo tester. i am herewith confirming that 4.30 is buggy (and i have no time to detail on this. i just noticed it.) and that i have deinstalled it too. i am back on 4.29 too.

4.29 doesnt exhibit any apparent ugly bugs.

:( :((Now I'm not able to install version 4.29, showing that the same error! :(:(
And I've completely uninstall version 4.30

Ditto here: Cannot install 4.30.

Actually I tried to install the newest version (at the time) 2-3 weeks ago & got the driver missing message.

I uninstalled RMC back then & have restarted my Win7 64bit machine a number of times since.

Only today did am I tryi RMC again (long time user)--using the latest version (4.30).

Now I've uninstalled that & after rebooting & deleting RMC entries in the registry I successfully installed the last 64 bit version (before 4.28 which supposedly worked on both 32 & 64 bit).

So I'm up & working with the version from March!

But just why hasn't anyone from Applian answered this 9 day old thread? [I'll contact tech support as well)

I could not install the versions 4.2.8 and 4.2.9!
I could only install version 4.2.1!!!:mad::rolleyes:

@DemoTester - you stated you're an official demo tester? Who gave you this title exactly from Applian?

Just saying, please be careful about saying you're the official demo tester if that is not the case. Having said that, we're glad to have ya on the forums! :-)

We're waiting for some flawless updated release of RMC4.. Is Craig on vacation :cool: you'd know of?

LOL Thanks - Craig is a work-a-holic, I think he just locks himself up in his office for days on end sometimes. But yeah, he's always working on updates....though i don't know about flawless (no product is flawless that i'm aware of) :)
