View Full Version : SiriusXM not connecting with XM Tuner

There was a solution that has been working (glitchy, but working), using the "XM Tuner" with "Applian Replay AV". Today my "XM Tuner" has stopped tuning in any channel that I have with the "Best of XM w/ Sirius". I checked my account with Sirius to be sure that all was in order and I have two subscriptions with "Sirius Everything with the Best of XM". This was working as recently as yesterday. I tried reinstalling "XM Tuner" but there is still something wrong.

I get an error on the XM tuner saying


"6:03:49 Error: 404 - Not Found
6:03:49 Failed to load program guide data (will retry)."


It keeps retrying

When I try to tune to station on the replay a/v it gives me this page not found message

"Service Unavailable
Stream Error: Unable to fetch XM stream URL. (Not Logged In or Down)"

I guess because the XM Tuner is not logged in.

I know this is not the XM Tuner compnay but this is the only way that this software will record XM... like the applian website says

its one of their KEY FEATURES, actually its their #2 key feature listed there.

Today I am having the same problem. XMTuner had worked pretty well over the last few weeks, but will not connect or play music today, and I cannot record from it using Replay AV.

Even when you get the failed to lad program guide please go to the next tab and look at it. It is still populated. In testing I'm able to record without an issue.

And now that I come home from shopping, XMTuner works again. I didn't change anything. Nice!

My scheduled recording did not start tonight. And I tried to start instant recording and setting another scheduled record and none of them worked. If Sirius/XM has changed their stream again it is a real problem! ;(

IN testing it is working so do try again. Do make sure that XMtuner is open and running when a recording is to take place.

Tried stopping and restarting XM Tuner service several times. Tuner log reads Incoming Stream Request for XM101, Playing Sirius 101, Sirius Internet Radio Error - Unknown Error, Error Fetching Stream for Sirius 101. Successfully logged in manually to 101 before and after XM Tuner attempts.

I am having the exact same problem with 101. Other channels work fine.

I read on the XM Tuner forum that another user is having trouble with the XM Tuner. This person claims that Siri ch. 197, normally The Virus, is playing the Hockey Channel (ch. 208) through XM Tuner. I wonder how much longer the old stream will work.

Well that's good news. At least the stream is still working. Any thoughts on why 101 wouldn't work while 100 works fine? I can log into 101 manually and I stopped and restarted the service several times. The stream for 100 is http://66.30.105.184:19081/streams/100/high & for 101 it's http://66.30.105.184:19081/streams/101/high.

It did work today and record for me. Please delete the show from your AV. Now, add it again. Do a record now. It could have been that the server on the other end was having an issue. Also, do remember to keep XMTuner running while recording.

The problem seems to lie with XM Tuner. I noticed that in the channel listing, the ch. 101 logo is missing, while the others are all shown. Also directly under the channel name where the PDT info is shown, a general description of the channel is given instead of what's currently airing. The other channels show the current PDT info.

Also I get the folloing errors in the XM Tuner log: Incoming Stream Request for XM101, Playing Sirius 101, Sirius Internet Radio Error - Unknown Error, Error Fetching Stream for Sirius 101. I have tried stopping and restarting the XM Tuner service a few times. I realize that XM Tuner isn't technically Applian's problem. But I was hoping you (or fellow users) might have some suggestions based on previous experiences.

This is not working. I rebooted my computer and created a new recording in AV. XM Tuner gives the same error. The XM Tuner log reads Incoming Stream Request for XM101, Playing Sirius 101, Sirius Internet Radio Error - Unknown Error, Error Fetching Stream for Sirius 101

I am having the same issue. I contacted the owner of XM Tuner for a fix and he stated he was not affiliated with Applian and was a student, one man operation. Due to school workload he stated he wont be able to take a look at this issue as he has finals approaching... :(

How do i get a refund? I thought XM Tuner was a semi-pro applactation not somebodies hobby over spring-break.

He mentioned he was super-busy with school right now (probably finals) so I would not hold my breath for a fix anytime soon. Nor should we expect one. He gets zero revenue from his XM Tuner. I doubt it was ever expected to perform flawlessly to support paid-for software from another company (Applian).

Thanks for the tip. I tried all the combinations in protocol and bitrate in the URL builder. But when I try to play 101 in XM Tuner, I get the same error.

Channel 101 does need to be updated in XMTuiner. It is not going to work until that is fixed. We don't know when he is going to be doing that. It is not our program and we have been using it as a workaround.

Hmmmm - thats unfortunate. I was really hoping for an official fix from Applian for my Howard 101 channel :)

Is there any advancement on an Applian fix? Timeframe?

I bought the software in February and I was under the impression a fix would be forthcoming. As it is now almost May and there does not appear to be a fix. What are the chances of Applian extending the money-back time window to 90 days? Ireally only use the software for taping Howard.

You need to contact customer service for this issue. All I know is that it is being looked into as we would also like it to work like it did previously.

I re-tried changing the protcol from http to mms and I thought that did the trick. Now I see that the XM Tuner was fixed.
