I just installed freecorder on firefox and rebooted and everything but the youtube video downloader feature works fine.

When I press that button during a video, the window comes up with the download options, but after I select which link to download as far as resolution, the "save as" window pops on then immediately off, like it was canceled. I search everywhere to find that file, but no luck.

Any ideas on why that window pops off and cancels? thanks...

Do me a favor - un-install freecorder, reboot your pc - re-install it and let us know if that helps.

Thanks Jeff. I uninstalled 4.1 and the toolbar a couple of times, but still no luck. Same thing: the popup box flashes on then off. I can't even read it, it happens so fast. And that's no matter what resolution I want to save it as. Any other ideas? I would really like that feature to work. There is a ghost freecorder 4.0 still in my uninstall programs list that I can't get rid of but when I look into c drive under program files, nothing exists.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your response, and your continued patience. I'll ask our freecorder technical support person to take a look at this and respond accordingly.

Many thanks again for your patience.

Hi, iv just discovered the very same problem, except mine has occured after simply updating my youtube downloader. Iv un-installed and re-downloaded it, but it still just "pops off and cancels". Any help to resolving this issue would be greatly appreceated, thanks

Hi. I have the same problem. It starts to show the box for the destination of the download and immediately cancels itself out. (There is another box which pops up but it disappears too quickly to read it.)
The only thing that I have done in the past few days was install a DivX player.
Any suggestions?
