Hi folks.

I'm using the latest version of Replay Media Catcher and, I am trying to download and, convert videos to AVI (XVID) from the XNXX.com website and, it states errors messages while trying to convert to that format. And, btw, how about adding a AVI (XVID/DIVX) regular resolution example: AVI (XviD; 29.97; fps Same Resolution MP3).

:)

Best Regards.

Can't convert to avi (XVID) from this site: xnxx.com using replay media catcher. Also, there is no tagging unlike replay media catcher 3. Please offer a (AVI XviD; 29.97; Same Resolution MP3) setting.

Best Regards.

The "AVI same quality" conversion setting uses MPEG-4 video with MP2 audio. But you can go to Tools -> Conversion settings and create a new preset with the parameters that you need.
For example, you can create "AVI lossless extraction" preset, which in this case will create an AVI file with VP6 video and MP3 audio.

Thanks for the customize conversion settings tip. :)
However, the issue where it doesnt convert the videos to AVI from this website are still present. Hope the Applian folks fixed the issue soon.

It worked fine for me. Please post the URL of the web-page with a problematic video and the conversion settings that you use.

This preset gives me the "Invalid pixel aspect ratio 0/1. Converting - Video encoding failed" error (https://forum.applian.com//showthread.php?5992-Converting-libxvid-0x39df80-Invalid-pixel-aspect-ratio-0-1) when converting an FLV video file (On VP6 520x400, MP3 64kbps) from xnxx.com:

But the "XBox360 (MP4 XviD; MP3)" preset works just fine.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? Convert video for xbox 360? Convert to MPEG-4 (xvid, divx,...) .AVI?

Thanks...:) at least I now know I am not the only one with this issue.

But the "XBox360 (MP4 XviD; MP3)" preset works just fine.

The only problem is my DVD player (DIVX/XVID) certified won't play .mp4 files.
The Xbox 360 output AVI (xvid) videos setting from Replay Media catcher seems to work fine.... That the DVD player plays them just fine.

Best Regards.

If your DVD player doesn't support MP4 or MKV, then it should be a good idea to convert to AVI.

Just use the "AVI same quality" conversion setting and you should be good. For whatever reason it converted MP3 audio to MP2 for me, so I just cloned the preset and set it to copy audio:

This allows to get MPEG-4 video with MP3 audio. Please try it and let me know whether it works for you or not.

It does work however, it must be a AVI (DIVX) preset.

Time to get a ps3. :-)

I do own a PlayStation 3 :)...which I mostly use it for gaming and, internet and, using it to access the PS Network...I know it can play more formats from a data-dvd/flash drive then the DVD player can but, I do have more DVD players laying around that support the AVI (xvid/divx) format instead.

By the way, I have sorted out this issue... which is to switch to AVI (DIVX) convert setting rather then the AVI (xvid) setting instead. Which seem to be the only
temporary solution to converting there flv files from that website. Is it just me...or does Replay Media Catcher convert engine seems to be the fastest convert engine available? 4x times faster then Replay converter. (very impresive)

Just giving you the heads up.

Best Regards.

It does work however, it must be a AVI (DIVX) preset.
It must be an AVI (MS MPEG-4) preset.

DivX or MS MPEG-4 should work fine. And it is possible to use Xvid as well, but you need to specify the video resolution:

It seems that Replay Converter uses ffmpeg as well. So I wonder how you managed to get 4x faster speed with RMC.
