Hi,

I uninstalled Replay Media Catcher just now, and after doing so my net crashed. All open connections were fine, but I could not open any new webpages. I've run a netstat and this is what I see if I open a webpage :

How do I go about removing whatever is causing this?

Have you tried to reboot your computer after uninstalling RMC 4?

I had Media Recorder 3 and am having the same problem. It's causing issues with Chrome and Avast AV. It's somewhat disconcerting that uninstalling this product doesn't remove these sorts of things.

netstat doesn't show much information. try to use tcpview

and report back

Interesting app. Here's a snip of what firefox comes up with just after it launches and displays a blank page.

firefox.exe 3444 TCP Serenity 53036 localhost 53037 ESTABLISHED 34 34
firefox.exe 3444 TCP Serenity 53037 localhost 53036 ESTABLISHED 34 34
firefox.exe 3444 TCP Serenity 53039 localhost 53040 ESTABLISHED 6 6
firefox.exe 3444 TCP Serenity 53040 localhost 53039 ESTABLISHED 6 6
firefox.exe 3444 TCP Serenity 53041 localhost 12080 ESTABLISHED 2 1,383
firefox.exe 3444 TCP Serenity 53042 localhost 12080 ESTABLISHED

Thanks applian support, apparently it's Avast web shield doing it. Now I don't remember renaming any computer on my network to "applian", and it's not exactly a name I'd randomly come up with, but at least I know what's doing it now.
