View Full Version : Replay Media Catcher problem: Stuck Identifying Music (When converting to AVI)
I am evaluating the trial version of Replay Music Catcher. When it does the conversion to an .avi it stays on "Identifying Music" for a long time. armcp.exe is using almost 100% CPU.
I terminate the service and find the video file was converted OK.
Is there a reason it gets stuck at that point?

Good evening
Are you using Replay Music, or Replay Media Catcher?
Also, Can you please provide me with the URL of the audio or video you're trying to record, so I can trouble shoot the issue?
I am using Replay Media Catcher.
It happens on any video I tested on Youtube. Like these:

Hi - thanks for clarifying.
What operating system are you using?
IF vista or 7 - have you disabled the uac yet? If not - please try that and let me know if it makes a difference.
If you're using XP - on the other hand, please let me know what Service Pack (SP) you're using?
Thanks kindly! :-)

Also, we are aware that this is an issue in some cases and the developer is looking into it. Do you get this same error when you don't convert? Thanks.
I am running Windows 7. UAC is disabled.

Having the same problem "Stuck Identifying Music (when converting from .FLV to AVI) using Replay Media Catcher 4.
My OS is XP PRO sp3.
I was successful in using Replay Converter on the .FLV file and it created the .AVI file.

This is a problem with the Music DNS that we will have resolved in the next update. It usually occurs when converting to AVI. So if you can avoid that for the time being, you will not have a problem.
You can shut down Replay Media Catcher without restarting your computer. Open Task Manager, then go to the Processes tab. Highlight armcp.exe then click the End Process button. That will close Replay Media Catcher.
We're sorry for any inconvenience. The next update should be out soon.
