The Converted mp3 file only plays MY side of the conversation

Hi I am new... I have been using the Skype replay telecorder to record a conversation.
This worked well & successfully...BUT I needed to convert the avi file into a mp3 file.
So I converted the avi file to mp3 using the Replay Converter program.
But when I replay this mp3 file...it only converts MY side of the conversation...
which unfortunately defeats the purpose of recording the Skype conversation.
Any suggestions please.
