Problem with Ustream

I have just upgraded to version 4. I am unable to record video from ustream. I have tested the new version by recording clips from Facebook etc and it works fine. I have enabled the "Always record RTMP steams" in the settings. Version 3 works fine. Am I missing something here?

I tried to record on-demand http streams from ustream.tv as well as live rtmp streams with RMC 4.0.7 RC and didn't have any problem. I was able to download RTMP streams as well as to record them.

RMC 4.0.7 RC is a release candidate, not a stable release (althouth it is very stable in my tests). If you want to try it, here are the download links:

What kind of problem exactly do you have with ustream? Are stream URLs detected properly?

I have found that it will not detect some recordings on Ustream, yet will start recording others. But so far I seem unable to record a whole clip of anything on Ustream without errors. I have not tried recording a live stream yet. I gave up trying to record with ver 4, but was able to record the same clip with ver 3. My current version is 4.0.5.0.

I will try ver. 4.0.7.0 later on tonight.

I tried to download, but RMC failed to download these streams completely. I double clicked one of the recordings and read the log. The answer was there:

Try decreasing the maximum number of segments used under Tools > Settings, HTTP Download
Tried again with 1 segment only and RMC download the streams without any problem.

Hummm.......I actually tried that yesterday. I saw the report from a stream that started to download but had errors. The two urls that I gave you failed to even start recording - so not even a report to look at.

I tried again this morning, and thought at first that it was working, but the first url only recorded an advert that preceded the actual clip, and the second one failed to even start - no advert this time I suppose. Any ideas as to why these streams fail to even start?

HTTP streams are cached by your browser, so you may need to clean the cache so that RMC can detect the stream URLs.

Ah! That seems to have done the trick - many thanks.

The convert to mov seems to have a problem, but maybe that will have to be another thread.
