When trying to convert from a vcr file all I get is a gray screen with audio.
I tried converting to many of the available types.

The vcr file was created on a different PC using the "ATI All-in WONDER RADEON 7500" hardware an SW. The first file I tried to convert ran almost 6 hours with still 0% completed. The length of the vcr file in about 2 hours. I got a nights sleep while that was running.

I tried a second file that was only about 1 1/2 minutes long. it converted within 2 minutes but still no video when played in the Windows Media Player.

PS: I tried renaming the file extension to mp4 and converting but the results were the same.
I have been successful in renaming a "*.DVR-MS" file to "*.mp4" and converting it just fine. See my post on 11-02-2008 05:04 PM .

Any ideas on how to get around this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks... Walt

http://www.applian.com/replay-converter/demo.php

The above link will let you know what the program is able to convert to and from. The format you have is not listed. Thanks.

I was aware of what the web site lists. The “.DVD-MS” was not listed either but I made it work… see the post to “https://forum.applian.com//showthread.php?533-Convert-from-DVR-MS” on 11-2-2008.

Does anyone have a solution to this?
