Freecorder Toolbar error on BOTH Internet Explorer and Firefox

I re-installed the Firefox Toolbar per instructions to fix the Firefox Video History problem. Now I can't use Toolbar on both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Before, I could use it on IE.

I just get an error message:

The "Freecorder FLV Service" is not running. Please reinstall the Freecorder toolbar.

You could have let us keep the old version until a working update could be made available instead of making us uninstall and losing it altogether. Very disappointed.

The Firefox is version 3.6.6, the latest version as of today.

I un-installed my old toolbar, rebooted and then downloaded and installed it. It works fine for me in Firefox 3.6.6 (Windows XP SP3).

Have you rebooted your computer as was suggested? What OS do you use?
