Hi, I just downloaded the freecorder toolbar a couple of days ago and it has worked fine. The only problem I have is that the video history is showing videos that I did not watch, porn.

I assumed the first ones I found had been something my husband had watched and I deleted them. This morning, however, I found new videos like this in the list and the time stamp was from last night when I was using the computer. I know that I wasn't watching these videos, I wasn't even online for more than a few minutes. I also noticed that all the videos were from the same website, one I've never visited!

Anyway, I know I can just delete them (and have), but I'm concerned about why this is happening. Is this some kind of adware? Is there someway to keep this from happening? I have a young child who likes to play games online and it would be too easy for her to see this stuff.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

What you are seeing is in your history of your system. All our site does is show you what is on your system so you can save it if you want to. Delete your temp files and you should be good to go.If you are using Internet Explorer do it by going to Tools-Internet Options and follow the prompts.

Freecorder 4 copies videos from the caches of Firefox and Internet Explorer. You can disable the Video History Tool completely:
https://forum.applian.com//showthread.php?5046-How-do-I-turn-OFF-Video-History!&p=17487#post17487

Also Freecorder 4 doesn't save videos from Opera and Google Chrome... So they can be used by those whose content shoudn't be saved by the Video History Tool.

Thanks for the help. I understand how it works now, and my husband is not so happy about it. ha ha Thanks too for the info on disabling it, I might need to do that. The hubby's not too happy about me being able to see what he sees. We use different browsers, so I would've never found out otherwise. Anyway, thanks again for the help!
