niftytv.com uses Silverlight. Sometime Silverlight uses Windows Media streams that are easy to record. In other cases it uses DRM protected Windows Media streams or Smooth streaming.
You can record such streams from screen using Replay Video Capture.

Tried to record GSU-TV and it appeared to be a Windows Media .asf stream. Replay Media Catcher 4 supports such streams.
