Replay Music Crashes with ITunes open

I'm running on Vista with Version 3.95 of Replay Music. I have RM set up to automatically load newly recorded music to Itunes. RM will open Itunes, load the new songs in, and then close down Itunes. However, Itunes is already open, RM aborts and I lose all the music that I had recorded.
Is there something that I can do about this?
If not, is Applian aware of the problem and doing anything about it?

You need to have iTunes closed when music is being transferred to it. Thanks.

Is it possible to modify the program so that it doesn't crash and doesn't lose all the tunes that had been recorded? It would certainly be more friendly if RM simply came back with a message to close ITunes and to not crash.
