I've now tried four products to capture video at Hulu...

Replay Media Catcher
Streaming Video Recorder
Tube Hunter Ultra
Video Hunter

So far NONE Of these products work with my system... and HP PC running Vista 32... dual core AMD with 3gigs of RAM. Generally my system has been a pain in the butt. I've tried about 12 SMART drive monitors and only one works. Recording streaming audio was also pain, though the ProCorder 3 &4 toolbars worked.

I don't have any problems with YouTube... but NONE these programs seem to "sense" the video running in the browser (IE8) and therefore never record anything. In RMC I have all the possible streams checked off for capture. At one point some file did show up on the list but never recorded. Under properties the error was it could not connect server... I forget what protocol it was... RMTP or somesuch.

Any ideas?

Also, though I have DSL... it doesn't seem to be fast enough to stream shows from Hulu... and the video stutters... curiously more with ads than with the show... no buffer? Will these stutters show up on the recorded version should I ever get it to record?

Thanks!

I'm also having problems at nbc.com.

Some of this seems to be a firewall issue... but even with it disabled, all I get are the ads, not main content. At Hulu, still nothing.

That error was

Internal error while trying to download RTMP stream
Exception:
m_nErrType = 2
m_strDesc = "Unable to connect to RTMP server"
m_strFile = F:\proj32\TestRTMPClient\RTMPStreamRip.cpp
m_nLineNumber = 446

Though it keeps unchecking itself, I do recheck Web Stream Dumper option.

Read this:

Basically Hulu uses an encrypted format that is illegal to capture. You need a screen capture program like Replay Video Capture. http://www.applian.com/replay-video-capture/index.php

Thanks Netsez... I guess these changes at Hulu are recent and the makers of these products haven't caught up yet. I'll check the Video Capture program.
