Make sure you are using the most recent Freecorder :

It is compatible with the new version of Firefox. If you continue to have trouble please contact Tech Support. Thank you!

Tasha,

I am newbie. I posted this in a different thread. My apologies for duplication if you noticed it...

Freecorder toolbar used to work with Firefox 2.x. Once I got Firefox 3.0.3, the Freecorder toolbar does not show the icons when activated from "view->toolbars" menu. I get a new toolbar in the browser which just has ">>" on the left hand side but none of the Freecorder icons.

I exited firefox, installed the latest Freecorder Toolbar, but still see the same symptoms.
I am running Window Vista on HP dv6000 laptop.

Thanks.

I'm experiencing the same symptoms in Firefox as described by Tasha:

the Freecorder toolbar does not show the icons when activated from "view->toolbars" menu. I get a new toolbar in the browser which just has ">>" on the left hand side but none of the Freecorder icons.

Vista on a Dell Inspiron laptop.

Please advise if there is a solution to get Freecorder toolbar to appear in Firefox.

The toolbar is made by a company called Conduit, we supply the recorder. When I contacted their support they said they would like to have remote contact with someone experiencing this problem. Someone had submitted a ticket but didn't seem interested in dealing with Conduit. If anyone who is experiencing this wouldn't mind submitting their email to me in a private message, I can pass it on to Conduit. Thank you!

Hi again!

i know that I had passed on someone's email to Conduit concerning this issue...was wondering if they were able to give you a resolution, and if you could share it here? Thanks!

I had the same symptom. For me (Firefox 3.0.5, Freecorder toolbar 1.5.41.0) the following steps were necessary. Note that there were a few more additional restarts of Firefox in there, that I think were irrelevant and that I have not listed.

1. Exit Firefox.
2. Install Freecorder.
3. Restart Firefox.
4. In FF, View -> Toolbars -> check Freecorder toolbar. (At this point, I had the toolbar with just a >>, no other contents.)
5. Exit and restart Firefox again.

After step 5 I got the expected toolbar displayed.

A note: if I turn *off* the Freecorder toolbar, then exit and restart Firefox, and then turn it back on, I will again have the ">>" toolbar, until I again exit and restart.

So, the toolbar needs to be turned on before Firefox starts, in order to properly display.
