I am used to Replay A/V - but it is not compatible with some streamed Radio stations.

How do I use Media Catcher:
1) recording 2 shows at once &
2) at a scheduled times ?

Media Catcher does not have scheduling capabilities and is not intended for capturing radio streams. If you have a URL I can test this for you.

Media Catcher can capture this stream, however you will need to right click on the file and choose Stop and Save when you want to quit recording. This will result in an unknown duration, so you won't be able to seek through the audio.

I am not paying another dime (as I would need to for Media Catcher) as far as I am concerned Replay A/V is all I should need- but I'd say its defective.

I was told the Replay A/V not yet 100% good to go with Windows 7 - but just so you know Streaming works 100% in 7. I just don't use my other PC that has 7 on it as that machine does not have itunes installed.

So when will Applian fix this bug with Streaming?

Thx

there are actually a lot of issues with Windows 7 with regards to running applications like these - mainly the reason why I haven't upgraded yet.

The issue is NOT with Windows 7- not at all.
Its Vista - the OS that I have problems with (or IS it Replay A/V) & that prompted this thread.

I have not yet heard back from Applian with any solution.

do you know of another software that does what Replay does?

If you are having problems with your software I suggest that you open a support ticket. This is the best way to get a timely response. We try to answer all requests within 24 hours. Since your problems are with Replay AV I am moving this thread there. Thank you.

KFI does work. It does not work with stream capture. They have changed the way they stream. It does work with audio capture and if you load it from the Media Guide it is set up to work that way correctly. As an alternative you are able to use Media Catcher but as Tasha has said it does not have scheduling capabilites.

following is a duplicate from another post.

I wrote to KFI.
"Ernie" of Clear Channel replied-
"I can't help you with Replay A/V. I only handle problems with streaming
from our website."

I also asked if ClearChannel changed the way KFI is streamed from 6 months to say a year ago? I noticed the difficulty in recording the stream about 6 months ago.

He replied: "We changed about 2 months ago. Started using Flash version 10."

So – is there a work around?

Also - I can not record 2 shows at once, one being stream capture and the other general audio capture.

This station is able to be captured either with Replay Media Catcher or with audio capture and AV. I often capture with audio on one station and stream capture with the other. If you are having an issue with that contact tech support and send a log file with the two recording not capturing at the same time. We will also need to know the version of windows.

Using Vista - SP 2 Home Prem

No two log files to send as nothing is created with the one station set to Stream capture. Only the one log file is created with KFI when I set that to General Audio (non stream set up).

I would use Replay Media Catcher, but there is no way to set a schedule.
Though I might consider an attempt I am given a license key for it so have full access versus trial.

You would send the daily log file to tech support. It would show all the activity for the day. If you want to purchase Media Catcher as an owner of AV you are able to do so at a discount. Go to the order page and select that you are an existing customer and follow the prompts.
