I am trying to capture a feed for WJSJ FM in Jacksonville, FL. They switched to streamtheworld several months ago and my media catcher won't record any longer. The URL is http://player.streamtheworld.com/101...allsign=WJSJFM any suggestions?? I host a show on the station and like to capture the audio to upload to my archive on my site. It worked fine until the switch to Streamtheworld. Thanks.

Most StreamtheWorld stations are in the Media Guide of AV. That is really easy to grab and capture. Give it a try and see if it is going to meet your needs.

I am capturing the feed perfectly now...but the sound is very choppy. I think the audio is too loud on th streamtheworld feed. Is there any way to adjust that??

If you are capturing from the stream it should be the same quality as the original. If you are capturing using audio you would adjust the sound the way you normally do. If you need further assistance with this let us know in tech support.

Here's another stream the world link: http://corusmedia.media.streamtheworld.com/player/Player.htm?id=ckbtfm

I can't find this stream in the guide and it stops recording after one second. What can I do to schedule-record it?

Thanks!

Use the URL Finder to find a good stream. It will work if there is one. Go to AV and select Tools-URL Finder. Now, go to what you want to capture. Once it starts go back to the URL finder. You might have more than one to URL to test depending on how they stream.

That worked! Kinda :)

It recorded to a flv file but I had "After Recording, Convert To" set to "Audio - MP3 (128 Kbps)" and it didn't record to MP3. Does this work in the demo?

I'm having a similar problem with a station that recently (this week) switched to StreamTheWorld from an ASX format. It is currently listed in the Media Guide, CIDC 103.5 FM Toronto, Canada, but because of the recent switch, I'm guessing the link is out of date.

The link on the station's website is http://www.z1035.com/player.php.
Link to just the Flash-based player is http://player.streamtheworld.com/liveplayer.php?callsign=CIDCFMAAC

Source on the player page is:

so_player.useExpressInstall("http://player.streamtheworld.com/_core/assets/swf/expressinstall.swf");
so_player.write("player");
//

The URL Finder can't pick out the link to the stream, and neither can I from the HTML. Any ideas?

You need to turn on every thing in Replay first and then launch the browser. I did your link and you want the weird looking one...

Hi croquantes,

I tried the link you found, doesn't seem to be working for me. Replay appears to capture, but I can't open the finished file after I stop recording. The output files are basically empty mp3 files, ~1kb. Doesn't seem like any data was actually captured. I tried a couple different conversion options but still nothing. I can't tune to the link either.

My URL finder doesn't pick up that link either, maybe I should be using a different version of Replay. Currently using 7, should I update to 8?

Thanks.

Sorry I don't know -- I'm just using evaluating the demo :)

But it looks like those urls are auto-generated so even though Replay uses it to record the audio, you can't use Replay to schedule-record them, which is what I want. :(
