Friends,

I would appreciate your help in setting rtmpdump.exe to work as a plugin in Replay Media Catcher 6 to work. A step by step tutorial would really help.

For my example I will use the stream of the “European Service” of the “Egyptian Radio and Television Union” (ERTU). The Web page at which the stream plays is
http://www.egradio.eg/radio.php?PubPnt=ElBernamegElOrobi&ChnName=6

How far did I get?

Recording directly with a Windows Batch File:

I have a Windows batch file called ERTU_European_Service.bat
In the batch file, I have the following command:

rtmpdump -r rtmp://liveRadio.onlinehorizons.net/ElBernamegElOrobi -W http://lr.onlinehorizons.net/player.swf -p http://lr.onlinehorizons.net/ElBernamegElOrobi.html -v -e -y livestream -o Euro.flv

It works. I set up a Task Scheduler in Windows that triggers the batch file on a specified time table, and for specified number of minutes. And it works like a charm. (Well, mostly).

Automatic Recording with Replay Media Catcher 6 (RMC6)

That too works. I set the recording switch to “Auto” and the Capture Method to “Stream Downloader”.
FWIW, the “Source is “rtmp://liveRadio.onlinehorizons.net/ElBernamegElOrobi<break>livestream”
The name (Arabic) is إذاعة البرنامج الاوروبى.flv

What then is the problem? I can’t Schedule such downloads with RMC6. I am stumped. I fiddled with the Plugin settings, the rtmp settings and the scheduling settings, and all to no effect.

I am aware that the User Guide provides some guidance for plugins and RTMP under Advanced Internet Downloading Settings, but I have been unable to apply these instructions.

Please help.

PS: I posted this same question twice before with no replies. What gives?

This is very technical and you are going to need to submit a ticket to tech support with all details. Thanks.

I just submitted a ticket.

I first posted here because I thought your response would be of general interest.
