The RMC software continues to phone home even tho, I already granted internet access 100 times....:)

That's really not phoning home in the traditional badware sense we think about. This is a feature!:p
It's checking musicbrainz (http://musicbrainz.org/doc/genpuid) with an acoustic fingerprint of a saved file. More (https://secure.musicip.com/dns/index.jsp).

Unless you aren't complaining about the phoning, rather you're complaining about the approving every time over and over. Yes? Norton can't handle files extracted on the fly. You could set the attributes for the files to read only and hidden (except for the log file). That way they won't disappear and confuse Norton.

Making these read only and hidden may keep them from being updated properly, but should allow Norton to recognize them and save the (allow) setting. The files only appear when Right-clicking a file in the main list then choosing | Rename or edit tag info | Resolve Tag via Music DNS button

When available, right-click the \nnnn_mdnslib folder, choose properties, tick the Read only and Hidden boxes, choose apply, tick this folder subfolder and files, OK, and OK out.
