Downloading HD from BBC iPlayer

If I select HD download (1280x720) from within the "Guides" in RMC5, BBC iplayer, it will only download around 90-100 seconds of video, then stalls, with "Sending createStream" and "Ignoring verification requests". I can playback that 90 secs of video, and indeed it is HD quality. I can download "High Quality" (832x468) in its entirety, even using WinPcap.

I do go through a VPN. However, I can download HD from the BBC iplayer website (ie. not using RMC) no problem so it's not the VPN, but of course this can only be played back using the BBC iplayer Downloads player. I want to be able to download HD using RMC Guides.

I can download HD from YouTube no problem, even 1080p material.

OS is Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit

Does anybody know a solution?

It's irrelevant what the URL is, it happens with all HD downloads from iplayer (within the "Guides") And I know that they are available as HD downloads by visiting the BBC iplayer site. All I do is select the download from within Guides->iplayer. You have numerous options for the download quality, including HD. All options work except HD, which exhibits above problems.

I've just spend 40 bucks on something that doesn't do as it says on the tin.
Surely there must be somebody out there with the same problem & a solution?

Hey -

HD works here using the method you are trying to use.

If you havnt already, please raise a support request and then we can get logs off you etc that might tell us what is happening with your specific issue.

Have just started using Applian after a couple of years as I have problems with GetFLV! However, I am experiencing the same problem with HD download. Was there any resoolution to this issue?

Guess there is no resolution to this issue. I still can't download HD using a DNS cloaker but works fine with GetFLV and iPlayer Download!
