Can't capture from this site consistently...

Can someone take a look and make some suggestions. I have tried altering the settings one at a time, to no avail. Could this be some odd issue with a new version of flash? I'm at my wit's end with this.

For years, I have successfully used RMC to record live video streaming from this site. Some months ago I started having problems. I have posted the log from one of the instances.

Here is the http site:

http://www.bvov.tv

It obviously points to an RTMP stream on live.edgefcs.net

This problem occurs both in RMC 4 and 5.

Oddly, it worked on one live stream from this site this morning, but not the afternoon or evening. It also won't capture the rebroadcast that happens in the wee hours of the night. I can watch the stream on the website in beautiful HD. I just can't seem to capture it.

Hey -

Both 4 and 5 work here for that site using the default settings. Tested the live stream on the home page. Tested it 5 times. Each time downloads and plays back fine.

Why are you recording instead of just letting it download independently? With recording (which is what you progress logs show you are doing) you must leave the video running in the player - else there is nothing to record.

This site downloads just fine so no need to use recording.

In Settings > Internet > RMTP, switch off "Always record RTMP Streams" add/or remove live.edgefcs.net from the secure streams list if you have added it.

I've gone in and made the changes you suggested. A recording will kick off at 6:65 PM CST so I'll post if this fixed the issue...

OK I went to the site again with the suggested settings, still got "Waiting for RTMP connection response from the server" ad infinitum, using RMC 5 and this is the log:

When set to simply download, it got only 23.5 k (a logo) then completed.

Actually, the reason I have set to record, rather than download, is that I want Replay Media Catcher (http://applian.com/download-videos/)to start the browser at the appropriate time, we watch the video live, and have an archived copy of it.

Either way it still isn't working.

Replay VIDEO capture (http://applian.com/replay-video-capture/), however, will record the video window. It's just not the best solution for my technically challenged wife who wants this to all work auto-magically.

Hey -

I just tried again now and it is not working now, yet it was before so they must be changing stream technologies. Probably why you could record sometimes and not others.

Looking in the RMC logs the RTMP packet type is 240 which not a known media packet type so perhaps its some form of copy protection? Lodge a support request (http://applian.com/support.php) and see what they can do.

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? ... I've been having the exact same problem with RMC 4 & 5 as well.
The site IS capable of DL ... but not 100%. It'll stop at about 90% .... then all other attempts after that is ZILCH
I even tried to record option ... and nothing either.
There's no problem capturing the opening screen - but nothing after that
Can anyone provide insight to this gnawing dilema?
