Freecorder not working on Windows 8

I've managed to install freecorder 5(my favorite version) on Windows 8 but nothing seems to be recording..

Is FC5 not compatible to Windows 8 and if so,how can I work the program on Windows 8 cause I have plenty to recording to do..

Could anyone just please tell me how to make this god-be damned piece of program work besides changing my operating system down to 7/Vista/Xp?

Freecorder 7 just sucks...and Freecorder 5 doesn't seem to work on Windows 8..

I can't even record videos from 4upload with freecorder 7...
