how to change quality?

hello i am trying to dl some educatinal videos. they range from 5 to 15 mins. i have got other rips from people, and the videos range from 15 megs to 125. when i start capturing i am only 4 minutes in of a 15 minute video and the file size is 386 megs. how do i make the file size smaller. i dont see it in the options

you would make the bitrate lower in the settings. Do be aware that the lower the bitrate the lower the quality. You might also try and use windows media format instead of MPEG
