RVC6 - turn off audio compression

It seems to me that there is heavy audio compression operating during record. I can't seem to turn it off ...auto detect or otherwise. Win 7 x64. Any clues please?

I have played around with the settings today but have found no luck in disabling compression. Can I assume that this isn't possible yet? https://imagicon.info/cat/14-16/1.gif
