Arrow Open this forum to all users

This forum should be open to registered users of all Applian products, not just those of us who have bought the entire suite. I know Applian would like to "encourage" everybody to get the whole package but the truth is many users don't need all the products.

This forum would be more valuable - to current members who bought the suite, and other Applian users - with input, ideas and solutions from all users. When we have problems we don't have problems with the package, we have problems with an individual product and many of us come here to see if a solution to our problem has already been found. We are more likely to find a solution with all product users able to participate and contribute. As it is, users of individual products can view the forum, just not post. So suite owners carry the entire load of peer solution sharing.

Applian's tech support people have always been good about getting back to me with quick and useful replies. More user feedback and input in a forum such as this would help them, too, and give us an additional resource (and sometimes a faster solution - tech support can't be instantaneous).

    Agree/disagree.

The forum is open for all to read regardless as to whether they own the suite or not. At the present time we want it to be a benefit of owning the suite and, as the forum is new to us, plan to evalutate as it evolves and grows. Thanks.

Maybe you can close the forums for posting to only those people that have purchased that product.
There seems to a increasing amount of SPAM getting into the forums by what are listed as Members.

    Hi

If you see spam please let us know. We have changed the way people register and hopefully it has diminished. Thanks.

    Default Thanks

Glad everybody is allowed to post. I'd agree with the suggestion that would allow posting only in those dedicated to products somebody actually owns (plus the general forums like this one, of course).

That would be a bit difficult to manage, and we'd have to spend many hours, if not months creating specific user rights etc for that...

We do like keeping all forums open to all users, as users are able to read about/discuss other products as well which enables them to be informed before a possible purchase.

As always, thank you ALL for your feedback!
